Beach and Sea
Mingardo Beach
A long stretch of fine, dark sand, set in the heart of unspoilt nature. Perfect for those who love wide open spaces, peace and quiet, and sunsets over the sea.
Cala Bianca
Voted one of Italy’s most beautiful beaches. You can only get there by boat or on foot, but it’s worth the effort for its turquoise waters and unspoilt scenery.

The Infreschi Trail

Cala Fortuna and Cala Monte di Luna

Primrose Trail in Palinuro

Marina di Camerota
A lively, authentic seaside village. The harbour, the seafront and the historic center are perfect for an evening stroll past bars, craft shops and restaurants.

Just a few minutes from the sea, you'll find a village steeped in history, with narrow cobbled streets, views over the Mingardo Valley and a strong cultural identity.
Palinuro and its caves
Famous for its sea caves, such as the Blue Grotto, and its golden beaches. A perfect destination for a day trip.
Velia Archaeological Site
An ancient Greek city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is where the philosophers of the Eleatic school were born. You can visit the ruins of temples, thermal baths and the famous ‘Porta Rosa’, which is the Pink Gate.
The Temples of Paestum
An archaeological site like no other in Italy. Three perfectly preserved Doric temples, a museum brimming with artefacts, and a rare glimpse into the Greco-Roman past.
WWF Bussento Caves Nature Reserve
A special place in the heart of Cilento, where the River Bussento winds through caves and canyons. The WWF nature reserve offers trails immersed in greenery, crystal-clear water and unspoilt nature, in a truly evocative setting.
Food and wine
Local cheeses and cured meats
Caciocavallo Podolico cheese and black pig cured meats are true delicacies. Many products come from small local dairies and farms, such as the ‘mbuttunate’ aubergines from Lentiscosa, which you can also sample at restaurant, or the famous Maricucciata, a Slow Food Presidium product.
Extra virgin olive oil and wine from Cilento
The olive groves of Cilento produce a fragrant, light oil, perfect for dressing any dish. Local wines, such as Aglianico and Fiano, enhance the tradition, and some of them have gone on to win major awards in recent years.
